Marcos Suzano

MARCOS SUZANO, musician, percussionist, was born in Rio de Janeiro on the 14th of August, 1963.

He graduated in Economics at UFRJ (1984).

Professional musician since 1986, he has participated on several important groups on the national and international music scenario, such as Sting , Aquarela Carioca, Nó em Pingo D`Agua, Zizi Possi, Gilberto Gil, Joan Baez, among others.Since then he has become one of the top call musicians in Brazil either for shows or  studio recordings.

His new ideas on brazilian percussion are disseminated in festivals, lessons and workshops all over the world, including Japan, USA, Holland, France, Denmark, Belgium, Italy, and also in lots of brazilian cities. He has a video lesson released in Japan and 2 DVDs released in 2008 in Germany and in all Europe, where he shows his very skilled techniques on the “pandeiro”.

His solos albums are “Sambatown” (1996/1997), which was awarded  – Revelation of the Year, released by MP, “Flash” (2000) released by Trama and “Atarashii” (2008), independent release.

Sérgio Chiavazzoli

Sérgio Chiavazzoli

Sergio Chiavazzoli started playing the acoustic guitar at the age of 4.
After studying Classic Guitar and Flamenco with Paulo Roberto Leitão, he started teaching music.

He carried on with his harmony and improvisation studies with Sergio Benevenuto. At age of 20 he founded his first “ Electric Trio” in Niteroi (Rio de Janeiro).

He was interested also in other strings instruments such as Acoustic Guitar, 12 Strings Viola, 10 Strings Viola, MIDI Guitar, Cavaquinho, Mandolin, Banjo, “Guitarra Baiana” and electric guitar. He had become a multi instrumentalist musician.

In 1989 he played on tours with  Ze Alexandre and  Oswaldo Montenegro.

In 1997  he started playing on Gilberto Gil’s Tour (Trio Eletronico) where he  played with great artists such as: Caetano Veloso, Djavan, Milton Nascimento, Gal Costa, Baby Consuelo, Pepeu Gomes, Elba Ramalho, Lulu Santos, Ivete Sangalo, Daniela Mercury, Dominguinhos, Carlinhos Brown and Margareth Menezes.

In 1998 he went to Africa, Europe and Asia and he played with  Paralamas do Sucesso, Cheb Mamy, Yousson`Dour and Veronica Sabino.

Other artists he has played with:
MPB  4, Quarteto em Cy, Ana Carolina, Alejandro Sanz, Peter Gabriel, Maria Bethania, Roberto Carlos.

On Globo Television: Paulo Coelho`s book / album,  Xuxa, Milton Nascimento, Belchior, Ze Augusto, Akundum, Adriana Maciel, Vanessa Rangel, Morais Moreira, MPB 4, Quarteto em Cy, Paulo Ricardo, Fagner and Amelinha.

In 2001 he recorded “Milton and Gil”(with Milton Nascimento and Gilberto Gil) and he was awarded a prize by Itau Cultural Project with his own album “Armando Todas”.
In 2002, he became musical director of Gilberto Gil’s Tour “Expresso 222”  and played in Europe, USA, Asia and Oceania.
He  played with Gilberto Gil at ONU Concert.

In 2008 he graduated in MusicTherapy and created the “Instrumental Music “Gomanchi Group” with Arthur Maia, Carlos Malta, Claudio Andrade and Jorginho Gomes.

In 2010 he created “Mafua Instrumental Power Trio” with Fabio Lessa and Flavio Santos.
He wrote arrangements for Gilberto Gil’s album “Fé na Festa”and he is currently  studying Music Education.

Bass Player, Multi-instrumentalist, Arranger and Musical Producer.

As a Bass Player: Dunga has worked with great Brazilian names, such as Ivan Lins, Gilberto Gil, Milton Nascimento, Lulu Santos, João Donato, Marina, Seu Jorge, Adriana Calcanhoto, Ana Carolina, Marisa Monte, Maria Bethania, Zelia Duncan, Ney Matogrosso, Cassia Eller, Claudinho e Buchecha, Banda Eva, Martinho da Vila, among others.

As Musical Producer: Dunga has worked with Ana Carolina, Zeca Baleiro, Leo Jaime and Jay Vaquer.

Cesinha

Cesinha

cesinha-sperling-studio He was born in Salvador – Bahia. He studied at “Music and Arts School” of Universidade Federal da Bahia with professor Fernando Santos, since he was 10 years old. He began to play in night clubs and in “Electric Trios” with the age of 14.

He was hired as a  recording drummer at WR Studios at 16, here he has worked for 6 years on all kinds of recordings: Commercial Jingles, Vinhets, Albums, DVDs, etc.

At the age of 17 he began to tour with Luiz Caldas (national tours). At the age of 22 he joined Caetano Veloso’s band, and then he moved to Rio de Janeiro.

He has also worked and toured with:
Kid Abelha (1990/ 91), Marina Lima (91/92),  Ivan Lins (  Awa- Yiô – 1993),  Marisa Monte  (  Cor-de-rosa e Carvão – 94/95 e Barulinho Bom – 96), Cássia Eller (  Veneno Antimonotonia – 97/98), Simone (99 /2000), again with Caetano Veloso (  Noites do Norte – 2001/2002), Ana Carolina ( Estampado de 2004 a 2006), Vanessa da Mata ( Sim , 2007 e 2008), Maria Gadú (2009 a 2014).  

He has recorded in more than 350 albums with the best Recording Artists in Brazil.

Milton Guedes is a musician (Saxophone, Harmonica and Flute), singer, composer and musical producer with more than 25 years of experience.
